Social responsibility is important
TATONKA takes over social responsibility for its employees and is rewarded. The production premises Mountech Co. Ltd. in Vietnam is awarded the international standard SA8000. The Certificate is the attest for the company in Dasing that the prescribed work and social standards are fulfilled.
After several months of intensive work in Ho Chi Minh-City we received the following positive news shortly before the OutDoor Fair: Our company production premises Mountech Co. Ltd. has received the SA8000 Certificate. The internationally recognized SA8000-Norm verifies that our company observes the standards for work and social accountability in conformity with ILO and UN conventions. The certificate is valid for three years after which there is a repeat audit. The certification authority accredited by the independent SAI (Social Accountability International with headquarters in New York) examines the observance of standards at half-yearly intervals.
Transparency creates confidence! As a first step, Tatonka brought to life the project “Open Factory” where by Tatonka customers are able to visit the company’s production workshops. In October of last year the contract for certification in conformity with Standard SA8000 (Standard for Social Accountability) was signed. This standard was introduced in 1997 by the non-profit SAI organization. Based on the human rights conventions of the United Nations it includes the observance of human rights at the place of work with social and fair conditions for employees.
